This is the updated and youthful version of the original but still fairly similar. If you haven’t yet tried it, you can get this free sample of Chanel No 5 Eau Premiere Perfume EDP which looks almost identical when just glancing at the packaging. With this sample you get a carded cover with a mini spray vial with 2ml (0.06oz) of eau de parfum.
First of all, let me tell you… again, that I love Chanel No 5 and I’ve loved it for years, it is by far my most favorite fragrance. Eau Premiere is very nice but it will not be replacing my love of the original. With that out of the way, I should also mention that before I got this sample, I have tried it before so it’s not totally new to me.
When I got my sample, I literally sprayed some on me right away. I didn’t even have to test it out first because I already know that I like it. Eau Premiere is very much like the original No 5 but this one is almost like an updated version for those girls that may not have tried it before and are new to Chanel fragrances. This is more youthful with a little more rose and vanilla that seems to fit in with the Couture crowd. I should also mention that with the edp version, it doesn’t last very long which is quite disappointing as it smells so wonderful. It seems to last an hour or two at the most on me. The dry down is also a bit of a disappointment as it doesn’t seem to evolve or change much.
Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy my free sample of Chanel No 5 Eau Premiere Perfume EDP and I’m seriously considering buying a bottle. It’s just that trying to compare it to perfection is almost impossible. I think I’ll use Eau Premiere when I’m feeling a little old and I need a youthful pick-me-up…
