This one is awesome! It’s a free sample of SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, the holy grail of skin renewing serums. Comes sealed in a small clear plastic bag and includes one (1) 10ml or 0.3oz bottle and instructions.
I’ve been wanting to try a sample of SK-II Facial Treatment Essence for a while and hadn’t come across one until now. This stuff is really expensive but the reviews for the most part have been overwhelmingly positive. If you don’t know what this is, it’s basically suppose to be a skin cell renewal serum and moisturizer. It contains an ingredient that claims most (90%) of it’s “power”, Pitera. Pitera is actually a byproduct of the sake brewing process in Japan and is a “trademark” secret. Also known in the east as Holy Water.
I was so excited to try my sample that I opened it up right away and used it that night. But as soon as I opened it, I was disappointed. The smell is a little unpleasant, I thought with a luxury item like this it would be almost heaven like. To me, it smells faintly like vinegar. The good news is, after you rub it in, it goes away. I didn’t apply it with a cotton pad because I didn’t want to waste any through the pad, instead, I used my fingers to make it more even and to moisturize my fingers as well. To me, the texture is more liquidy and not as viscous as I had imagined. After a few minutes of rubbing it in, it had absorbed into my skin. I didn’t notice any immediate results, but when I woke up, I swear I did notice my skin being softer and a bit more of a “glow”.
Sadly, with such a small size to this free sample of SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, it isn’t going to give me the length of time I need to really notice results. The 2 applications that I did get out of it, I noticed some interesting results that are now teasing me into buying the full size $200 bottle. But I just don’t know…
