I’ve said it before and I’ll tell you again that I don’t normally wear lipstick. I just hate the sticky tacky feel they give me. When I got my sample of Revlon Colorstay lipstick I put it in my drawer for almost a month until I finally decided to give it a try. The color I got was Finale, I wanted to try a classic red and not something that was too flashy.
When I opened my tube, the first thing I did was smell the lipstick. It has an interesting smell that I’m not sure what it is. I wouldn’t say I like it but I don’t hate it… so far, not a good start. Next, I applied the matte lipstick and right away had problems trying to blend it properly. It also seemed to get a little clumpy. I did the best I could to make it look proper but over time it started to feel gummy and every time I put my lips together they would stick which is my biggest pet peeve with lipsticks. After a couple hours my lips didn’t improve with the tackiness and started to feel dry. I couldn’t stand it anymore and removed it. I used petroleum jelly to remove it and didn’t have any problems actually, it worked really well.
In defense of the lipstick, I should mention that I already had really dry lips and I think that may have caused my experience to be worse. Perhaps I’ll try again in a month or so when my lips will hopefully be less dry. I think I’ll try using a chap stick as a base first and then apply the lipstick over top. I’m not going to write off my experience with this deluxe free sample of Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick just yet, I’ll give it another try and report back to you guys 😉

Summary
Has an interesting smell that I didn't really care for. The color looked good but I had trouble blending so it didn't matter. After a while it started to get gummy and tacky making my lips stick together. Seemed to also dry out my lips more than usual.

I really liked the color, but soon after putting the lipstick on, it just left my lips feeling sticky. I probably won’t try again. Thanks anyways.
I have gotten lots of compliments when wearing this lipstick. Great color but also looks natural enough that it isn’t too dramatic for wearing during the day.
thank you
thanks 🙂
This lipstick is actually really long lasting!! I really hate having to reapply any kind of makeup so I love that this lipstick can last hours upon hours, with only minimal fading. And I find it doesn’t dry out my lips as I know it does for some people! This is really a great product.
long wearing lip color
The color is really nice. I found that you do need to have smooth non chapped lips for this to look it’s best. These are matte finish and if you have dry peeling lips, this will make it look even worse!
🙂 Thanks 🙂
