For the last few years I’ve been reading about how bad sulfate is for your hair and how you need to find sulfate free hair care products. I’ve never actually implemented that recommendation until I received this sample. And now I’m not sure if I’ll ever try sulfate free products again, and I’ll tell you why.
I got my sample a couple weeks ago and just decided the other day to give it a try. Before I took my shower, I used the Color Assure Pre-Wash Primer on my hair going from tip to root. It felt soft and silky just like it would with any hair primer. Then I took my shower and used the shampoo and conditioner like I would with any other of the same products. I’d like to start by saying that these products smelled so nice, nothing too strong. The lather was unworkable. I had trouble getting the shampoo to lather, that’s the first I’ve ever had that problem with a shampoo. The conditioner felt like your typical drugstore brand. Nothing too special.
After I dried my hair, I noticed that my hair felt greasy, so I decided to shower again to rinse off whatever I thought I had accidentally left in my hair. I still felt greasy. I’m not sure if it was a bad batch that I got or that I did the process wrong, but I couldn’t understand why my hair felt greasy.
I actually didn’t use the rest of my free sample of Nexxus Color Assure 3 Step, I ended up just throwing it out. If you’re still interested in trying out, maybe just use a small amount first to see if my results are the same for you.

Not a good sample. Shampoo was not very good, it didn't workup much of a lather. Was rather disappointed in it. Used the shampoo and didn't bother with the rest of the products. Threw it out.

I’m so sad because before I used this product my hair was never greasy and now the roots is just one grease ball. I would not recommend this at all.
I don’t know what happened but I’m a fan of Nexxus this product is awful. It made my hair look and feel so greasy
It’s so strange, I am not sure why this product gets bad reviews. I’s used sulfate-free shampoos for years and tried many kinds. This shampoo is as good, if not better, than the way more expensive ones which can be 3 times the price and more.
I like it, it seems to makes my hair softer than the regular Nexxus

I’ve been using Pantene Pro V for years and my scalp needed something different. After trying many products including Wen, I decided to try out Nexxus which I had used many years ago. My scalp and hair feel so much healthier! Thank you!
