I know cushion compacts are becoming more and more popular and I’ve been wanting to try out a few different ones to get an idea of how well they work so this sample has worked out good for me. I tried Lancome’s version a few months ago and liked it, but that was my first time and had nothing to compare it to. Now is my chance to try out Amore Pacific’s version. Yay! This brand is really popular in Korea.
In the sample pack that I got, the Tan Blush seems to be a pretty close match for my skin tone. Unfortunately, the smell is a little strong for my liking, it reminds me of an old lady perfume. Not sure I would like to smell this day after day. I think they need to come up with something that is unscented.
I found the coverage to be amazing! It has a sheer to medium coverage, exactly what I look for in my foundations. My skin has been a little oily lately, so the finish is fairly natural looking with a hint of dew. I like the fact that it contains a high spf of 50 so it will be great in the summer under the hot sun.
Overall, my free sample of Amore Pacific Color Control Cushion Compact was pretty good, just the smell was too much for me. I’m really sensitive to some strong fragrances and this one seems to really be “that” smell that I can’t tolerate. If you’re not overly sensitive and don’t mind it, give it a try.

Summary
I'm fair skinned and was looking forward trying a new cushion compact product with decent coverage and a high SPF. After I applied it, it did feel a little heavy but the coverage was really impressive. I didn't feel like I looked pasty. My only major problem was the smell of the product, it was really off putting 🙁
