With this free sample of Marc Jacobs Mod Noir EDP you’ll receive 1.2ml or 0.04oz of eau de parfum. The vial is the spray pump kind. It contains enough product to last you a good few hours or more…lol. It has a really weak longevity.
I really wasn’t kidding when I said it would probably last you a good few hours as the longevity is one of the weakest I’ve ever seen in a fragrance. I don’t know if it’s just my body chemistry that seems to just eat up the scent or what but I get a maximum 2 hours of out a few sprays. I would spray more to last longer but I think that I would be over doing it and end up making those around me suffer, lol.
Actually I haven’t tried a whole lot of Marc Jacobs perfumes in the past and the ones that I did try I didn’t really care for. Mod Noir is definitely different from the ones I’ve tried and does have a bit of a retro feel to the scent. However, the gardenia is a note that I’m not too fond of. This one comes out a little strong at first but dries down to something more comfortable. There’s also a musky scent that makes it a little bit more masculine without trying to smell like a man. It seems to be a nice balance. I would say it can be more of a spring and summer scent strong gardenia and green notes.
Overall, my free sample of Marc Jacobs Mod Noir EDP was just… ok. It’s only saving grace was the musk that seems to calm to floral scent, otherwise it would not be my cup of tea. I think some of you out there will enjoy it if you like floral fragrances 🙂
